Is Twitter Dying? NO!

I was reading a recent Pingdom blog post about Twitter reaching 2 Billion Tweets per month and saw this comment.

“I don’t know why but I have this feeling that the twitter craze will wear off in a year or two.”

Not to be too incredibly rude here, but I have this crazy feeling that you are absolutely wrong. Twitter is not dying. It hasn’t even reached any kind of maturity yet. Just because you don’t use Twitter anymore (they said they left after a couple of years) doesn’t mean that the other 8 Billion people in the world are going to leave.

I wish people would stop saying that different online networks were dying. You don’t have to be the most popular in the world to be a success. Even with that said, though, I doubt that Twitter is going to get any less popular in the next few years. It will only grow more as more people learn the power of connecting online.

But you go ahead and leave. I’ll stay on there and keep adding to the noise.
