The Interrobang: An Alternative to ‘!?’ and ‘?!’

Supercrone, a commenter on this blog post, wrote a beautifully short poem about the interrobang, and now I want to start using it.

I’d like to add, for a touch of tang,
That little known mark: the “interrobang.”
It was often used in the olden days
To emphasize an ironic phrase.
Neither question mark nor exclamation
Stenos loved it when taking dictation.
Sad to say, modern keyboards lack
This fabulous aid to the working hack.
So I humbly ask (before I duck)
Can someone please tell me, WTF?!

When writing, many times I find myself in the awkward situation of having to type ‘!?’. It seems a juvenile thing to me (reminds me of the dreaded ‘!!!!’), but until now it was the only way to enunciate a sentence in this particular way. Now I have the interrobang (or ‘quexclamation point’). Yay‽
