When What Comes?

When it comes to writing blog posts, three words always come to mind first, and I can’t figure out why. Between my aversion to starting off the sentence with ‘I’, and my tendency to want to grip my reader with a leading question, I think it’s probably the easiest choice to make when starting off that post.

Many times I’ll write an article (or speech or whatever) while I’m in the shower or driving (tmi?), but it never ceases to bother me that the first three words that make their way into the introduction are always the same.

Maybe I have some kind of writer’s problem, or maybe I just need some more years under my belt to get out of the habit. I know one thing’s for sure, it’s pretty amusing how many discussions I can start off the exact same way.

When it comes to writing… I’m still learning. And (hopefully) always will be.
