Recently I wrote about a new site that I started called ‘Into The Charybdis’, where I wanted to start writing shorter posts on a wider variety of topics. I’ve been enjoying it so much that I’ve started wondering why I don’t make it my main blog and make this site a home for my resume and professional profile (which I wouldn’t start using for some time while I regain footing).
What’s the point in that, though? It seems redundant to me to have multiple websites that serve such small purposes on their own. I’ve seen too many companies over extend themselves, and have caused it enough times in my own career, to start being weary of inane decisions like that. What’s the purpose of managing two blogs when you only need the one? I an combine the two and save on resources, time and energy.
So right now, while I sit outside and read over some articles that I want to submit to magazines (ive only made one public), I’m also thinking about moving Charybdis over to this site and adding a few other pages to further enhance my professional image. My end goal has always been to have a site similar in structure to that of Alastaire Allday, but I’ve been putting it off because I don’t want to have another big site restructuring so early in the year.
Maybe this is a good step towards realizing my dreams. And if it’s not, I’m only 21 – I’ll figure it out someday.
