Who Are You? Care to Leave a Comment?

I know you’re out there. Right now, somewhere in the internet world, there are at least 40 people reading this blog. I know this, because I have my statistics plugin measuring feedburner subscribers too. I have just large enough of a following to wonder who is reading, and just small enough that I can still interact with each and every one of you if you were to comment.

So really, who are you? Leave a comment below. I want to know more about you. I want to write more about the things you are interested in. Share a link to your own website, talk about your business a bit, introduce yourself to the world.

Now’s your chance 40 people. Whoever you are… let’s chat. :)

This website uses IntenseDebate comments, but they are not currently loaded because either your browser doesn't support JavaScript, or they didn't load fast enough.

  1. I am one of them…hello!

Well, I finally took the time to figure out where you kept the rest of the blurbs from Facebook. Glad I did. I like reading what you write. Also, add a link on Facebook to your blog (if you already have, I didn't find it) so that others who are interested can quickly find the rest of the article.

Good luck with this. Glad you're being fruitful in your break. Me – not so much, but I am getting to watch a lot of Mythbusters with the kids and Dave (my most important things).

    Blessings,
    Steph

Hey Tim! I am one of them as well! But I catch most your posts through CB :) I love that you use Disqus, I think it's way better than intensedebate, just my opinion though.

Is this where I get to tell you what I'd like to read more about? I'd love to hear your thoughts on web dev and projects you are working on or are a part of. I see a lot of posts on more general topics but it would be cool to see what you personally are working on, I know you got stuff cookin in the lab!

    +1

  4. Social comments and analytics for this post…

This post was mentioned on Twitter by anotherguy: New Blog: Who Are You? Care to Leave a Comment? http://anotherguy.us/308/who-are-you-care-to-leave-a-comment/...

  5. Good call, Stephanie. It is on my profile page, but I'll add it to the little blurb under my profile pic too. :)

Thanks for the encouraging words as well! When are you going to start a blog? Your Press Releases for PHS are always very good, and I want to read more of what you write.

  6. Hey Dan! Thanks for stopping by. :) Always a pleasure to chat with you about things. Disqus is by fat the best comment system out there. Having a bit of an issue right now porting over a couple of high-traffic sites, but Gianni (Disqus developer) is helping me with that.

More web-dev talk, eh? I think I've got just the thing to start with. I've been holding back from writing about dev projects because a lot of my friends on Facebook tell me that they get confused when they read my notes (I have these porting over into their through feedburner).

Can't be any harm in writing on both topics on alternative days, though. Thanks for the tip!

  7. Hey Matt! I think we were chatting when you posted this. I already know a lot about you, but why don't you say something for the other readers out there? ;-)

Hi i am 25 and am into bodybuilding, I came across your blog from typing in college blogs in google my twitter is http://twitter.com/Papodapolas

  9. OK,

I worked with Tim on one of my site's for a while, it is http://myChristianConnection.org, I recently started http://DiscipleshipGuy.com, and I have 3 kids and one on the way. I am a jack of all trades, and unfortunately an expert at none. I recently started trying the P90X workout and have lost some weight and gained muscle. I think I will be using Google Buzz a lot in the future.

  10. Cool! Welcome to the thread, Paul. How long have you been body building? I need to get in a bit of shape myself (since I left my last job I've been slacking in the exercise area).

  11. You should talk to Paul down the thread a bit, he's into Body Building. ;-)

What would you say is your passion in life? What is one thing that really gets you pumped about living?

  12. Paul says:

4 years total, then I took a break, this past year I've been consistently lifting weights and doing cardio, eating healthy too. I lost 50 pounds of that course. I lift 5 days a week and eat healthy daily.

What I believe is no matter how busy you are, you can always make time to exercise. It only takes 40-60 minutes 3 days a week to make a significant change in your body, if you stick to it.

  13. Paul says:

You ever hear of the 80/20 principle, 20 percent of what you put into something yields 80 percent of results. That's what exercising is, you don't need to put a lot of time into it, the big factor is your diet though.

  14. Paul Geffen says:

Tim, we met on Google Buzz recently. I've started to read your blog and invite you to read mine: blog.trovar.com

  15. Those are some good tips, Paul. I know that I have a rock climbing membership that I haven't been taking advantage of. Maybe with a little encouragement I'll be able to get back in and tone up a bit.

Do you have any websites to recommend for what to eat throughout the day? I'm sure my diet is in need of improvement too.

Thanks again, and I'm glad you stopped by. :)

  16. Thanks for stopping by, Paul. I've checked out your blog (and subscribed). You have some pretty interesting posts on there (especially liked the one about Aardvark – didn't know that existed).

Thanks for your help in Buzz/Wave too. I appreciate that. :)

  17. Paul says:

I don't have any websites. But I recommend you eat a protein, some complex carbs(brown rice, wheat bread, oatmeal), and fruits and veggies. Keep it simple just eat healthy if your still hungry just snack on something healthy, even almonds, and NATURAL peanut butter are good to satiate your appetite. And you can have one or two cheat meals during the week. Take small steps. For instance I went from running a half a mile, to a mile, to running three miles everyday. Stay focused and you'll adapt to your routine. It'll become second nature to workout everyday or 3-4 days a week. You have to build up to it and stay consisent, once you see changes in your body wou will find it fun.

  18. That is a tricky question about passion, I think that it's easy to give up your passsions if your aren't sure that you should pursue them. It's tricky you want to make sure they are worth pursuing, so sometimes I don't.

  19. Found your site on a forum, great content, but the site looks awkward in FireFox, but works fine in IE. Go figure. Good diet / weight loss plan, going to try it!
